While this edition includes several important updates, the core learning system remains unchanged, providing a clear framework for students to learn and apply concepts. Key features include:
- Over 1800 exercises are located at the end of major sections within each chapter.
- Hypothesis-Testing Summaries are found at the end of Chapter 9 ( z, t, x2 and F tests for testing means, proportions, and variances) , Chapter 10 and 11(chisquare, ANOVA and correlation) to show students the different types of hypotheses and the types of tests to use.
- A Data Bank with real-world datasets for practice and projects
- An updated appendix with key formulas and statistical tables (z, t, χ², PPMC)
- Chapter Summaries, key Terms, and Important Formulas for review and test preparation
- Review Exercises are found at the end of each chapter.
- Data Analysis sections let students use datasets (from Appendix B) to perform statistical tests and summarize results.
- Chapter quizzes at the end of each chapter include multiple-choice, true/false, completion questions, and exercises to assess understanding.
- The Appendixes provide reference tables, a glossary, and answers to quizzes and selected exercises.
- The “Applying the Concepts” feature appears in all sections, connecting concepts to real-world scenarios.
